This recording, unlike my previous insect recordings, was taken in an actual forrest on south mountain reservation, millburn nj (as opposed to my backyard). There is a distant airplane in the background (south mountain is near newark airport) but otherwise its much cleaner than my previous recordings, pretty much isolating the patch of crickets. ---two primo em172 capsules -> zoom h1.

This is a very clean recording (no voices or words that can be made out) of a 737 in flight from inside the passenger cabin. We were seated directly behind the wing. It's just a great recording of what the sound level actually is inside a 737 at altitude. It's a surprisingly low rumble and a true white noise. Enjoy!. - christopher c. Courter.

A street in small tourist city of łukęcin in nord west poland. Many people and passing by, and sometimes also cars and bicycles. Large group of children playing some sport games in the nearby garden. Near the beginning of the recording, you can hear, in the distance, a dog at the dog park yelping in pain very loudly, perhaps after receiving a bite from another dog. Sunday walk on german coastal city travemünde's cliffs. We gently push a bike and ring its bell twice @1. 26 before sitting on a bench to look at the sea. Other strollers pass by while indistinctly speaking in german. Nice panoramic. Recorded with sony pcm-d50.

Walking through crunchy ice covered snow on a very cold day. I pant in the cold. The snow is not too thick, just a couple inches but it crunches like gravel. It was really cold.

For the recording, i used the tree-ear method, holding the microphones on either side of a tree, which results in a very wide stereo field (considering the capsules are omni). It was recorded in my backyard on a winter day which was actually more like a spring day.
